This Privacy Policy explains how the Pray My Rosary mobile application
(the “App”), published by Built For Greatness, handles
information. We built Pray My Rosary to be a simple, prayerful experience, and we collect as
little information as possible. We do not sell your information and we do not show ads. We use
anonymous analytics — Google Analytics and our own private usage dashboard
— to understand, in aggregate, how the App is used so we can improve it.
Information stored on your device
The following is kept on your phone only and is not, by itself, sent to us:
Your rosary progress and the “save & resume” state.
Your settings — chosen language, voice, pace, background music, and which optional prayers you include.
Your prayer streak and simple counts (e.g., rosaries prayed, minutes).
A small cache of prayer audio and translations so the App loads quickly and works offline.
You can erase all of this at any time by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.
Information sent to our servers
To provide audio narration, translations, and basic usage understanding, the App sends the
following to our servers at builtforgreatness.com:
Prayer text and your selected language — so we can generate the spoken
narration and the translated prayer wording.
Anonymous usage events — when you complete or configure a rosary, the App
sends an anonymous, randomly generated ID together with non-personal details
such as the mystery set, language, voice, pace, and prayer settings. This anonymous ID is not
your name, email, phone number, or account — it simply lets us count how the App is used
and improve it.
Your prayer intention (optional, only if you type one) — if you choose to
enter an intention (for example, “healing for my mother”), that text is saved with
your prayer record. Please avoid including sensitive personal details you do not wish to share.
Leaving the intention blank is always fine.
What we do NOT collect
No name, email address, phone number, password, or user account.
No precise or background location.
No contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
No advertising identifiers and no ad networks. (We do use anonymous analytics for aggregate usage — see “Service providers” below.)
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted providers solely to operate the App. They process information
only to deliver the service and not for their own advertising:
Translation & text-to-speech providers (such as OpenAI and Google) —
process the prayer text and language to produce translations and spoken audio.
Cloudflare — hosts and delivers the prayer audio files.
Google Analytics (Google) — receives anonymous, aggregated usage events
(such as a rosary being started or completed, and your chosen language) so we can understand
overall App usage. It is not linked to your name, email, or identity. See Google’s
Privacy Policy.
Our Built For Greatness analytics dashboard — the same anonymous usage
events are recorded in our own private statistics dashboard, visible only to our team, to help
us improve the App.
Google Play — distributes the App and may collect its own technical data
as described in Google’s privacy policy.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App may send prayer reminders to your device. You can turn these
off at any time in your device settings.
How we use information
To play the rosary audio and show prayers in your chosen language.
To save and resume your prayer where you left off.
To understand, in aggregate and anonymously, how the App is used so we can improve it.
Data retention
On-device data remains until you clear it or uninstall the App. Anonymous usage events and any
optional intention text are retained on our servers only as long as needed for the purposes above,
then deleted or further anonymized.
Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage
is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we handle.
Children’s privacy
Pray My Rosary is a family-friendly prayer app suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly
collect personal information from children. Because the App does not require an account and does not
collect names or contact details, it does not gather personal information that identifies any user,
including children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the optional
intention field, contact us and we will remove it.
Your choices
Leave the intention field blank to send no free-text content.
Turn off notifications in your device settings.
Clear the App’s data or uninstall to remove all on-device information.
International users
The App is operated from the United States. By using the App, you understand your information may
be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective” date
above when we do, and significant changes will be reflected on this page.
